HRA AGM 30 September 2021

Please come to our AGM at 7:30 (7:00 for refreshments) in the WI Hall Burhill Road – all Hersham Residents are very welcome including members, ex-members, prospective members and anyone who just wants to come along and find out about local issues.

Please see the agenda below. This is out first meeting for some time and will be important to discuss current local news, and future issues and arrangements for the HRA as we emerge from covid.

The following officers are proposed: Derek Williamson President; David Lock Vice-President; William Cowap (Chairman); Ann Cowap Treasurer/Membership; and the following members of the committee: Chris Allen; David Allen; Karl Attard; Jean Campbell; Iwona Januszajtis-Neale; Edward Meryon; and Steve Bicknell

6 Treasurer’s report and approval of accounts for 2019/20 and 20/21
7 Appointment of Auditor / Independent Examiner
8 Future Subscriptions to be reviewed and proposed at the next AGM
9 Any other formal business (wider discussion on local matters can follow – see below)

Updates on local issues

  • Updates from Hersham Youth Club and the Friends of Hersham Library
  • Update on Hersham Beer Festival
  • Esher bypass
  • Waitrose development

Wider discussion from perhaps 8.30 – possible areas for debate:

  • Potential collaboration with the Hersham Village Society
  • Restarting the Hersham Community Council campaign
  • Ideas for improving Hersham, including particularly things which might benefit from CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) grant applications
  • Any other Hersham issues queries and questions not already covered earlier in the meeting

[The meeting is scheduled to finish at 9.00 – but could be extended slightly if there was interest in further debate]
