What next for Hersham Green?

At the HRA’s recent AGM a petition was launched against a proposal to build some new flats overlooking Hersham Green.  The planning application is for a 6 storey building of flats which would replace a smaller existing 3 storey office block known as Mark House.

Please note that the council meeting when this will be discussed and then voted on by councillors is open to the public and it has been suggested that residents with an interest in this matter should come along.  With that in mind, the details of the meeting are as follows: –  Full Planning Committee, to be held on Tuesday 17 June, commencing 7.45 pm. at Elmbridge Borough Council Civic Centre, High Street, Esher.  The petition – Several hundred local residents signed the petition on Saturday 7 June when the paper copy of the petition was available outside Waitrose.  If you missed this but you would still like to sign, you can do so on line by clicking on the following link: http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/conservinghersham
